Special Session 2: Collaborative Decision-Making in Big Data and Integrated Transportation Systems
This session is centered on the needs of integrated and coordinated development in transportation. It explores cross-disciplinary innovation at the intersection of big data technologies and collaborative transportation decision-making theories, and facilitates exchanges on key issues such as data integration for multimodaltransportation networks, situational awareness, and coordinated resource allocation. The forum focuses on topics including multimodal transportation multi-source heterogeneous data mining, travel behavior analysis, integrated transportation scheduling, and regional transportation coordination and control, aiming to promote a paradigm shift in decision-making for integrated transportation systems driven by data. The forum is dedicated to building an academic exchange platform, bringing together industry experts to share cutting-edge theories and engineering cases, and fostering dialogue between academia, industry, and research. Outstanding papers in related fields are warmly invited for submission.

Prof. Hao Fu
Beijing Jiaotong University
Biography: Hao Fu is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Jiaotong University. He is a recipient of the National High-Level Young Talent Program. He serves as a committee member of the Emergency Management Professional Committee of the China Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics; the Digital Twin and Future Cities Committee of the Chinese Society for Urban Studies; and the Transportation Demand Analysis and Forecasting Technical Committee of the World Conference on Transport Research Society, among others. He is also the secretary of the Emergency Management Committee of the Public Safety Science and Technology Society, a young editorial board member of Digital Transportation and Safety, and a reviewer for leading journals such as Transportation Research Part A/B/C/D/E, Journal of Transport Geography, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
His long-term research focuses on intelligent transportation systems, integrated energy-transport systems, and data-driven optimization modeling. He has led and participated in projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, including the Young Scientists Fund, the Center for Basic Sciences, and the Hong Kong Research Impact Fund. Over the past five years, he has published more than 30 papers in top journals and conferences in the field of transportation management, including Transportation Science and Transportation Research Part B/C/E. His research achievements have received honors such as Honorable Mention for the HKSTS 2024 Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award and the Best Paper Award at the 2024 International Conference on Computational Transportation Science. Several of these achievements have been applied in government and industry, with significant impact.

Prof. Jun Xie
Southwest Jiaotong University
Biography: Jun Xie holds a PhD and is currently a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Southwest Jiaotong University. He has been selected for the national-level young talent program. He received his bachelor’s degree from Jilin University and his doctoral degree from Tongji University. He has long been engaged in research on equilibrium modeling, algorithm design, and optimization for large-scale urban transportation systems. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, two provincial/ministerial-level research projects, and more than ten projects commissioned by local governments and enterprises. He has published more than 40 papers in leading international journals such as Operations Research, Transportation Science, and Transportation Research Part A/B/C/E. He holds six authorized invention patents and received “The Stella Dafermos Best Paper Award” from the Transportation Research Board (TRB) in the United States.

Distinguished Professor Junfang Tian
Tianjin University
Biography: Junfang Tian is a Distinguished Professor, a National Young Talent, and a first-level young science and technology talent selected in the first batch of Tianjin Municipality. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and published more than 50 high-level papers, including articles in top or authoritative journals in transportation management such as Transportation Science and Transportation Research Part A/B/C/D/E/F. He has also published two academic monographs. His research covers smart cities, low-altitude economy, transportation, and logistics systems, with methodological expertise in optimization algorithms, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
